ABOUT THIS COURSE

We are pleased to offer this new, practical, informative and stimulating course to all educational leaders. Conflict occurs in all human relationships and handled well, it helps to identify and solve problems as well as build stronger communities. This course is designed for leaders who want to deepen their understanding of conflict and develop effective ways to both manage and resolve it. We’ll look at the nature of conflict and understand why managing conflict successfully supports your community to thrive and learn. Applying theoretical models of conflict resolution, you’ll consider the qualities and skills you can employ as a leader to tackle conflict with confidence, growing your knowledge of different conflict management styles, both helpful and unhelpful. You’ll leave with practical and evidence-based approaches to resolve conflict when it arises in your organisation, taking time to discuss how you can apply this in practice. You’ll think about how you, as a leader, can proactively grow a culture and climate that supports collaboration and cooperation, whilst positively influencing staff learning and development.
