Pearson Edexcel GCSE Music Component 3 – Achieving Grades 7 – 9

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course will demonstrate how to guide your best students to achieve grades 7-9 in the most demanding aspects of the GCSE appraising paper, the unfamiliar extracts and the extended writing of the comparison question. You will explore examiner’s reports, gaining an understanding of what students’ challenges are and work through strategies of how to overcome these. Throughout the course, a framework will be established which will enable us to guide our best students towards the top grades – exploring listening strategies, building up further repertoire for study, and considering how best to approach the final essay comparison question.
