The new GCSE is more demanding both at Foundation and Higher tier. There are new topics and less structure to the questions. There are more reasoning and problem solving questions. At Higher tier this increases the challenge for students whatever grade 9 to 1 they have as their target.

This course will explore key new topics and how to teach them and develop reasoning and problem solving skills at the same time. New approaches to exam technique for the new exams and problem solving strategies will be a key aspect of the day. All teachers will benefit from engaging with these approaches to the new Higher tier in Mathematics.
