Keynote Educational is currently recruiting for an exciting Sales and Account Executive opportunity based in Wilmslow South of Manchester. The successful Sales Executive will be reporting directly to the managing director, with the main responsibilities of new generating revenue from new and existing clients.

The successful candidate will work across the company’s product portfolio selling course and conference places, sponsorship and bespoke packages primarily on the telephone and via email.

This is a focused role which requires an exemplary work ethic, strong teamwork and communication skills, excellent organisation and planning skills, and the ambition and tenacity to deliver real success in growing sales for the business. You should have an interest in education and an understanding of the levels within various education sectors and what this means in terms of marketing and sales.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Generate revenue through existing and new clients, working across a product portfolio including conferences, courses and bespoke packages
  • Work closely with the marketing manager to generate and convert warm leads through email marketing and other method
  • Follow up on all leads on the telephone, via email, social media and any other means required
  • Work with existing key accounts to develop relationships, build insight, and deliver sales
  • Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs
  • Build new business through cold approaches including on the telephone, via email, social media and any other means required
  • Engage in promotional activities including attendance of conferences and exhibitions
  • Produce regular sales and pipeline reports for the managing director
  • Have an interest in education and an understanding of the levels within various education sectors and what this means in terms of marketing

Experience and requirements

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Financially motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Demonstrable experience of sales and account management, with a stable career history
  • Evidence of achieving and exceeding sales targets, working across a diverse product portfolio
  • A good understanding of lead generation tools and how to maximise their impact
  • An outstanding telephone manner with the ability to close business within a call
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
  • Confident in the use of email, social media and other methods to generate, manage and close opportunities
  • Knowledge of the UK secondary education system
