  • The specification content and planning your teaching
  • Analysis of the examination papers and awarding body standards
  • The options to choose to meet student needs
  • Exploring the extended questions

10.30 – 11.15am: Increase your understanding of teaching approaches to deliver outstanding lessons

  • How to gain high marks on the extended questions
  • Making sure that students are answering to the correct level, especially at the top end
  • Learning activities to support exam question skills and maintaining student motivation and progress

11.15 – 11.30am: Discussion: coffee break


11.30 – 12.30pm: Learn how to teach the evaluative questions

  • Taking a synoptic approach linking topics and debating
  • Teaching strategies to develop student understanding of such topics
  • What the exam board is looking for in evaluative questions

12.30 – 1.30pm: Lunch and informal discussion


1.30 – 2.30pm: Take away materials to support delivery in the classroom

Anne King

Anne has 20 years teaching experience in Law and has consistently outstanding results. She is an Assistant Head teacher and Head of Sixth Form recently graded outstanding in all areas. She is an experienced Law examiner and her subject achieves Grade 1 on ALPS.
