Maximise student grades for OCR A-Level Law by preparing students well for assessment.

PROGRAMME

4.00 – 4.05 pm Welcome and Introduction

  • Include an overview of the three papers

4.05-4.25 pm:  Answering medium tariff questions (“describe”/“explain”)

  • How to include information in answers that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the English legal system and legal rules and principles
  • How to remember key cases/laws and keep answers succinct
  • Exemplars and comments from examiners

4.25-4.50 pm:  Answering medium tariff questions (“discuss”)

  • How to analyse and evaluate legal concepts and issues in a balanced and structured manner
  • How to remember key cases/laws and keep answers succinct
  • Exemplars and comments from examiners

4.50-5.00 pm: Q&A

  • Ask questions to the course leader
  • Share experiences
  • Feedback perspectives

Alex Martin Diaz

Alex is a lecturer at an FE college in the South West. He has ten years’ experience of teaching and tutoring all age groups, but mainly A-level History and Law (across multiple exam boards). Alex coordinates a successful Oxbridge and Medicine/Veterinary Science/Dentistry applications programme, as well as a secondary school outreach course. He has contributed to the A-Level Law Magazine (Hodder). In this webinar, Alex shares his experiences of developing an effective OCR A-Level Law course.
