This webinar looks at the specific issues of Edexcel’s GCSE History Paper 3 and provides detailed guidance to students on how to prepare and take the examination.



  • Students will be taken through a sample paper with explanation of how to achieve grades 4-5 and 8-9. The session will include questions covering a range of options.

  • There will be particular focus on the sources’ and the interpretation questions in Paper 3.

  • There will be opportunities for students to ask questions and seek advice of an expert.

  • Answers at different levels will be reviewed and key features explained, showing students how to succeed on Paper 3.

  • Students will receive exam tips that show how to cover historical content with the right technique for each question type

Malcolm Chandler

Malcolm taught history in comprehensive schools for many years. He was Chief Examiner and Principal Moderator for GCSE History for twenty years. He has run many courses for teachers since 2001 and believes strongly that students should be more involved in their studies. He has worked with students in more than 200 schools helping them to prepare for GCSE and A Level.
