GCSE English Language Revision Conference

ABOUT THIS CONFERENCE

Our GCSE English Language revision conference focuses on the reading, writing, and analysis skills students need for exam success. Led by examiners, this GCSE English Language revision course combines targeted skill-building with exam practice.  

Students are taught how to analyse language and structure, evaluate texts, and write with impact. They learn how to approach unseen texts and manage time effectively across papers. Examiner commentary and model responses show how to achieve higher-level marks.  

Different pathways support those aiming for grade 4–5 and those targeting grade 8–9, with strategies to improve both knowledge and exam technique.  

By the end of the day, students leave with improved skills, stronger exam confidence, and examiner-produced resources.  

Students will:

• Unpick exam board requirements and assessment objectives.
• Practise key reading, analysis, and evaluation skills with feedback from examiners.
• Build confidence in writing responses under timed conditions.
• Learn techniques for using evidence, analysing structure, and crafting persuasive language.
