GCSE Music Revision Conference

ABOUT THIS CONFERENCE

Our GCSE Music revision conference prepares students for performing, composing, and appraising. Delivered by examiners, this GCSE Music revision course focuses on set works, unfamiliar music, and written exam skills.  

Students learn to use terminology accurately, structure extended responses, and analyse key musical features. Examiner-led sessions guide students in improving performance and composition portfolios.  

Separate pathways are tailored for grade 4–5 and grade 8–9 students.  

By the end of the day, students leave with stronger confidence in appraising, composition, and performance, supported by examiner-produced resources.  

Students will:

• Gain strategies for appraising set works and unfamiliar music.
• Learn how to use technical vocabulary effectively in written responses.
• Develop their performance and composition work with examiner advice.
• Take away tailored resources and annotated model answers.
