  • Typical structure of a 12m response.
  • How to tackle 12m responses linked to resources.
  • Correct interpretation of 20m responses. Importance of planning.
  • Effective introductions.
  • What information paragraphs should contain and how they should link to the question.
  • Student Activity: Reviewing responses – what are the indicators of a L4 response.

Jon Briggs has been tutoring A-Level and GCSE Geography students for over 10 years, clocking up well over 5,000 hours of tutoring, benefitting students across the private and state sectors from places a far afield as Hong Kong, Dubai, Malaysia, and the USA. He has been a teacher for nearly 30 years in both the state and private sector, with over 21 years of his career as either a lead practitioner, head of department and faculty. Since 2002 he has been an exam and team leader for GCSE and A-Level for a range of exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and CIE).  He loves the subject, whether it be Physical or Human Geography and enjoys working with students of all abilities to prepare them for exam success!
