ABOUT THIS COURSE

This brand-new course will explore how schools can further promote true British Values and study cases of individuals to demonstrate approaches that can be taken in the school environment. Delving into the history of equality, particularly around LQBTQ+ areas as a case in point, it will help school leaders be more aware and proactive in their approaches to support the young people in the care.

  • We shouldn’t need to ‘push an agenda on the young’ ??? – discussion (‘woke’ agenda?)

Equity -vs- Equality – this isn’t the 1980’s… or is it?

  • What is “good practice”? What do you know?
  • How do you support and protect pupils AND your staff?

Developing and, more importantly, demonstrating an inclusive policy

  • Identifying your aims as a school, knowing your community
  • How do you integrate your aims and policy into real practice? identifying approaches that could work in your own schools

  • Rolling your idea into one simple and deliverable plan to your stakeholders
