ABOUT THIS COURSE
This NEW course is aimed at all teachers of Pearson Edexcel GCSE PE who are preparing students for both the PEP and the Practical Performance. The courses on all aspects of Non Examined Assessment, from how, when and where to fit the PEP into Key Stage 4 examination PE to how to organise the moderation day and ways to use the progressive drills to maximise the potential of your students.
Led by an experienced examiner for Pearson Edexcel GCSE PE, the course will give assurance on accurate assessment as well as a look at where the most prevalent mistakes and errors are made together with approaches and techniques to help your students achieve their best grades.

- Understanding and applying the mark scheme and assessment criteria accurately

Tony Corcoran
Tony is a Senior Moderator and Examiner at both A level and GCSE levels including on the PEP and Paper 2. An experienced teacher of PE and Head of Faculty, he is the creator and founder of ‘GCSE Simplified’ bespoke hand produced GCSE/Level 2 revision guides, tailor made to the specification of all the leading exam boards, including Edexcel. These guides have sold more than 20,000 copies since October 2018. He has been one of the lead trainers for a leading exam board GCSE PE for the past 5 years delivering the ‘Getting Ready to Teach’ new specification course and Components 3 (practical) and 4 (PEP) over the past years across the UK and internationally. He has just returned from the FOBISIA Heads of PE meeting in Vietnam, where he delivered a series of workshops specifically tailored to Pearson Edexcel.
