Your students will enjoy this opportunity to perfect the skills necessary to produce outstanding results in both Paper One and Paper Two with an expert examiner. We will consider the most common errors that hold back performance and what they can do to convince the examiner that you understand exactly what is demanded in evaluating both interpretations and sources. We will look at examples of work that has done especially well and be directed to the top tips to ensure that excellent performance in Year 12 mock exams. We will also consider exactly what an outstanding essay consists of and how to establish a good, substantiated judgement. Our speaker will provide the very best advice on how to revise and how to ensure that students link subject knowledge to the demands of the mark scheme in all regards.



  • Get example answers and questions, with explanation of the marks on each of the different question types

  • Students will learn how to succeed in A-level History examinations, preparing them for the final exams in Year 13

  • Gain AQA-specific advice on what examiners look for and how to ensure students understand these skills

  • Ensure student confidence before their mock exams, so that they can really demonstrate their abilities

Keith Milne

Keith has over 25 years teaching and examining experience. He is a Senior Moderator with a major exam board and has authored and advised on a series of popular books including those detailing how to succeed with the NEA. He leads a number of courses exploring the routes to success at A Level History.
